Homemade Cinnamon Ornaments
My daughter and I have so much fun making these. Not only are they super cute and easy to make, they also make the whole house smell delicious!!
- 3/4 cup applesauce
- 2 bottles ground cinnamon (2.3 oz each)
- cookie cutters
- plastic wrap
- drinking straw
- ribbon or twine
- Preheat oven to 200 degrees. Mix applesauce and cinnamon until small ball of dough is formed. Using about 1/4 the dough at a time, roll dough to about 1/3 inch thickness between two sheets of plastic wrap. Peel off top sheet of plastic wrap. Cut dough into desired shapes with cookie cutters. Make a hole at the top of the ornaments with the drinking straw. Place ornaments on baking sheet. Bake 2 1/2 hours. Insert ribbons through holes and hang as desired. Can also decorate using paint or markers if desired.
