How it Works

Besides being adorable, this toy teaches basic coding to preschoolers with sequencing and programming.

You can add or rearrange any of the segments to communicate a different action such as to turn left, play noise and spin. The possibilities are endless! After you set up the code, you place the start and finish targets on the floor and press the GO button. Your preschooler can even set up any room into an obstacle course directing the Code-a-pillar around furniture such as under tables or around chairs.

Hands on Learning that Teaches Cause and Effect

My 5-year-old and I have been having so much fun with this. This too cute Code-a-pilar has everything to hold her attention and is one of the best learning toys I have seen in awhile. It’s a great mix of technology and hands-on learning and is also great for problem-solving skills. It’s also a great way to introduce cause and effect at a young age.

Hours of Fun with Endless Possibilities

The design is bright and colorful; the pieces are sturdy and fit together with ease. The Code-a-pillar glides with ease across the floor and has provided hours of enjoyment for my daughter. I love watching her face and seeing what combinations she comes up with.

This toy is definitely built to last and something I think will hold her engagement for quite awhile. It’s not one of those toys that will get played with and tossed to the side since there are so many options and possibilities.

In the future, I’m sure we will also look into buying some of the expansion kits. My just turned two-year-old has also shown lots of interest in it, and I’m sure she will also be playing with it and making her own codes before long. Right now she loves watching it go around the house and squeals every time it lights up.

All in all, we are totally impressed with this product- Great job Fisher Price!
