What’s Up Wednesday – Changes
What’s Up At Home?
First Day of Kindergarten
My oldest daughter finally had her first day of Kindergarten! She was so excited and practically jumped out of bed on the first day. I was definitely more nervous than she was!
On the way to school, I told her I hoped she had a really good day. She told me she already knew it was going to be a great day because she got to eat pancakes for breakfast, play with her sisters before she left and then heard her favorite Katy Perry song in the car. They grow up so fast!
First Day of Kindergarten!
A special treat to celebrate the big day!
First Day of Senior Year
My oldest son also started his senior year of high school. It’s crazy to think; I now have a Kindergartner and a Senior!
(this pic was taken before we had camera phones or before I had a decent camera obviously ;)) You can still see what a cutie he was though! 🙂
It seems like just yesterday I was taking this Yu-Gi-Oh loving little boy to his first day of Kindergarten!
There was a time when I was a young single mom, and it was just him and I. I cherish all the times we’ve had and know he will do great things in the future!
I will never forget building forts in the house while watching movies and eating junk food. I will also remember our family vacations when it was just him and I, how he use to stick his tongue out when he colored, him standing in the middle of the soccer field and picking me dandelions, and the many, many other precious memories!
It’s funny how you look back, and it’s the little things that matter. But most importantly he has turned into an amazing young man and I know he will be successful at anything he puts his mind too.
He still has the same fun-loving personality, makes good grades, is responsible for his age, and is senior class president this year. I couldn’t be more proud!

I already have a guest post coming up that I can’t wait to share with you guys!
Newsletter Changes
If you are scheduled to receive the Simple Mom Review newsletter, it will now go out on Thursdays (just once a week) instead of Wednesdays and Saturdays.
Like everyone else, my email becomes full quick! Hopefully, by just sending out the newsletter just once a week, it will cut down just a little on that inbox clutter.
With only sending it out once a week, it will be PACKED with information and include recent post including recipes, crafts, giveaways, reviews and more!
The newsletter will also include exclusive content and heads up on future giveaways. So be sure to sign up at the bottom of this post if you haven’t already.
Also, to keep the newsletter from getting sent to spam, (which often happens with the service I use and Gmail) make sure you add my email amy(AT)simplemomreview.com to your contacts.
Giveaways!
Last but not least, I wanted to say congrats to Janel L. for winning the Back to School giveaway. Also a huge thanks to the Frecklebox and ZipIt for sponsoring the giveaway. Thank you to everyone who entered!
You can also still enter the Lily Method Giveaway here until Friday and the Mysteries in Time Kids subscription box giveaway here until August 22nd.
There will also be a brand new giveaway starting in just a few days, so stay tuned!
Hope everyone has a great rest of the week, and peace, love, and hugs to all the mamas (and dads) with kids going back to school. Remember to enjoy this time, even the small moments; they grow up so fast!
