What’s Up Wednesday – Relaxing
What’s Up At Home?
I hope everyone in the U.S had a great Labor Day weekend! I know most people use this long weekend to do fun stuff to close out the Summer. I used it to take a nap, paint my toenails, do a little online shopping and pretty much take a mental break.I also spent extra time with the kids, and we played quite a bit outside since the weather here was perfect.
I have to say; I look forward to going places with the kids on holidays such as Labor Day when they get a little older… But, right now long relaxing weekends doing absolutely nothing are perfect, and it feels like a vacation to me! I didn’t even work on the blog all weekend besides putting up a post I had already put together. 🙂 Although, I was on social media from time to time; mostly Pinterest.
There’s something about Fall and Winter that really puts me in a cooking and crafting mode. I guess because we spend more time indoors than in the Summer. Is anyone else like that?
I pinned lots of recipes and crafts for the kids this weekend that I can’t wait to try out!
What’s Up On the Blog?
Like I said, I took a small break this past weekend. I did post an update on the Madison Reed Color Reviving Gloss I recently tried. It’s a product that is designed to refresh your hair color and take away unwanted brassy tones.
Each tube is enough for two uses, and they recommend to use it every 2-3 weeks, so I plan on doing another treatment in a few weeks. I really liked the results that I got, and felt it made my hair shinier and even looked healthier despite being in desperate need of a trim. You can read my full review here if you’re interested.
If you would like to try Madison Reed you can also receive a Free bowl and brush when you purchase hair color with code FREEBB exp. 9/26/16 (affiliate link)
I would also love to hear what some of your guys favorite subscription boxes are? I am literally drowning in sample sized beauty and hair products. While I do use them, I am just waaay too overstocked right now.
I’m thinking about canceling my ipsy subscription and Birchbox subscription at least for a few months. I love both of these subscriptions but want to take a few months to use all the products I have so far. I really loved my last Stitch Fix, and I think I may order more. At this point, I’m in need of stylish clothing more than I am beauty products. Let me know what you guys think, or if there’s another box you think I should try.
Hope everyone has a great rest of the week and be sure to sign up for weekly emails below if you haven’t already!
