Cool Beans is a brand new subscription box that features artisan finds from small business owners from the state of Texas. They offer monthly and quarterly subscription + one-time gift box options as well.
Market Place Box
They offer a quarterly Market Place box every three months for $49.99 filled with Texas made goods. Every three months you will receive something to eat, something to wear, something to use and something to share showcasing a different Texas region each quarter.
Coffee Club Subscription
They also offer a monthly coffee club subscription. Each month you will receive 1lb of small batch coffee from a Texas roaster. Plus, each box will include a handmade item(s) from a Texas Woman Small-Business Owner for $29.99.
I recently had the chance to review the inaugural quarterly Market Place box. When I first opened the box, I must say, I was completely blown away by the amount of products! I’ve reviewed and tried many subscription boxes, but this one was jammed pack full of goodies, and I couldn’t wait to dive into it!

Everything was completely well protected, and the breakable items were bubble wrapped and also included paper shredding as well as tissue paper.
This month’s them was a trip through Texas Fairs, Festivals, and Events in the Texas Prairies & Lakes
Also included in the box were a Texas state map and a calendar of events
First Stop: Gonzales Texas
Event: Come & Take It Festival, Sept 30- Oct 2
This T-shirt is from the Gonzales Texas Chamber of Commerce. This was in a size Large, so it’s a little big for me, but my fiance was happy to take it off my hands. I thought it was pretty cool they included something to wear; that’s not something you see in a lot of subscription boxes!
Second Stop: Brenham, Texas
Event: Washington County Fair
Lemon Lavender Scone Mix
This Lemon Lavender scone mix from Chapel Hill Lavender Farm sounds delicious! I had every intention of making these this past weekend, but the weekend got away from me before I knew it. I’m hoping to try this sometime this week, and will try to post a pic on Instagram.
Third Stop: Waco, Texas
Event: Heart O’ Texas Fair & Rodeo, Oct 6-15
Handcrafted soaps from The Southern Tub and TLC Farms
This beautiful handcrafted soap from The Southern Tub smells amazing, and I love the packaging! I opened it right away. to smell it, and it has a crisp warm scent that I love. I put it in my bathroom, and it made the whole room smell good! I used it the next day, and it lathered well without drying out my skin.

Not only does this soap smell really good, but it’s also huge!
TLC Farms Texas Bluebonnet
This soap from TLC Farms also smells really good and is made with goat milk. It’s super moisturizing, and the smaller size would make it great for travel.
Fourth Stop: Dallas, Texas
Event: State Fair of Texas, Sept. 30 – Oct.23
Mini-Pecan pie from Uncle Willie’s Pies
http://www.unclewilliespies.com/
Pecan pie is my absolute favorite; I actually love anything with pecans, so I was happy to see this! This pie had crisp pecans and everything a pecan pie should be. Too bad my daughter caught me opening this and I had to share half of it with her. She also seemed to really like it 😉
JJ&B Toasted Pecan Pepper Jam
I couldn’t wait to try this since it also had pecan flavor. I tried it with cream cheese and crackers, and it was delicious!
Last Stop: Paris Texas
Event: Festival of Pumpkins, Oct 22
Organic Body Sugar Scrub with Hazelnut coffee and Lip Balm from Hancock Hill Farm
This sugar scrub smells like fresh coffee and is the perfect pick me up. It lightly exfoliates without being abrasive and is made from all natural ingredient. The lip balm is moisturizing and will be perfect for this winter. You can find Hancock Hill Farm on FB @hancockhillfarm
Paris Texas Spatula
This spatula is heavy duty! I have several rubber spatulas, and this one is by far nicer than the flimsy ones I have. It also features a convenient measuring guide on the other side.
Overall, I am beyond impressed with this box! I love the idea that they include something to eat, something to wear, something to use and something to share. All of the items were high quality, and I loved being able to try items from the great state of Texas. I felt like the items were very carefully thought out, and I loved how all the items tied in as they took you on a trip through Texas fairs and festivals all while supporting small business!
You can find out more or how to order by going to coolbeansbox.com

This would also make a great gift item since they allow you to send a one-time box, which is something a lot of subscription boxes don’t offer. They also offer several individual items available for purchase in their shop.
Disclosure: I did receive this box for review purposes, however, all opinions are my own.
