Here’s what we received in the November Box
In the box we received everything we needed to make air freshener spray, Christmas scented ornaments, air deodorizer, bottles to make Christmas blends, stickers for the bottles and containers, ribbon, twine, and more!
We received 4 bottles of 15ml essential oils in Pine, Rosemary, Frankincense, and Happy Joy (an essential oil blend)
Also included this month was Curb Hunger which is an essential oil blend, in a roll on, designed to reduce your cravings.
Along with the oils, we also received a glass container, mixing bottles, stickers, twine, a ribbon, spray bottle, and paper to make the recipes included for the month.
Here are the recipe cards that were included.
The first item I decided to make was the Holiday Home Scent Spray. It was easy enough and just included a few drops of Pine Oil, and Frankincense mixed with water. It smelled great and definitely reminded me of the holidays.
What I really love about this spray, is that I don’t have to worry as much using this around the kids, as I do with many other commercial sprays with chemicals that have harmful ingredients.
Next, I made the Christmas Diffuser blend and the natural Christmas tree blend. It really does bring the smell of Christmas to your home, but in a safe and nontoxic way.
I have also used the Happy Joy Essential Oil in my diffuser. It’s a mixture of Geranium, Sweet Orange, Neroli, Grapefruit and Ylang Ylang. It really is an uplifting scent and one I look forward to using in my diffuser throughout the holidays.
Simply Earth also included items to make a Christmas air freshener. I have never thought to make air freshener this way but it was so easy, and I will definitely be making this again in the future with more oils.
To make the air freshener all you do is fill the jar (included) with approximately 1/2 cup of baking soda, and then add the essential oils. For the Christmas blend, you add drops of Rosemary, and Pine. Then you just take the metal insert from the jar and replace it with the tulle and screw the lid ring in place.

When you shake the jar, it allows the scent to fill the room and the baking soda absorbs the odors! The Christmas Blend smells amazing!
Over the weekend my oldest two daughters and I made the DIY Scented Ornaments. I was surprised at how easy they were to make! It only required Frankincense (although I’m sure you could use any of the oils to scent them) and then baking soda, cornstarch, and water.
You mix the dough over low heat until the dough forms, let cool and then roll out the dough and shape with cookie cutters. They also provided a string for the ornament, but I had some bakers twine that I used instead. You then allow them to dry COMPLETELY for 24 hours on a cookie sheet.
I say completely, because the girls and I got a little impatient, and I picked them up before they were dry. This resulted in a gingerbread and a dove without a head :/
Totally okay, though, because we still ended up with 3 ornaments that were really cute and had an amazing Christmas smell~ I wrote the year on the back and put them away for when we put up the tree in a few weeks.
Overall, I think this was a fabulous box! Not only do they send essential oils, but they also send you the supplies and everything you need to have a healthier home. The recipes were fun and creative, and I loved being able to experiment with the different oils.
If you’ve ever used essential oils, then you know they can also be fairly pricey. 5+ oils from other big companies can cost over $200, so $39 is very affordable especially considering all you receive each month.
I discovered essential oils almost two years ago now, and I have to say when I first started using them I had no idea how versatile they were. I mostly just stuck to Lavender and put it In my diffuser for relaxation. I had no idea what oils to mix or what to do with them. After researching, I learned there are so many things you can do with them, and it’s a good way to get rid of the everyday yucky products with chemicals in your home.
