Patriot Pantry 72-Hour Emergency Food Kit
In this day and age, you can never be too prepared. Several years ago we had a severe ice storm where I live, and we lost power for ten days. I lived in a small town at the time, and luckily the roads were clear to drive on, but many of the local grocery stores were closed. And generators, flashlights, kerosene lamps and heaters were sold out everywhere. Luckily my dad was a little more prepared, and we went and stayed with him a few days.
After about the 4th day we decided to find a hotel, but the town closest to us was all booked up, and we had to drive a little over an hour to find one. I made it a point then to be a little more prepared if something like that were to happen again. Now I have a small emergency kit I put together to last us a few days. It’s nothing fancy, but has a flashlight, batteries, first aid kit, wind up weather radio, power bank and charger for my phone a few can goods, a manual can opener, water and a few other things. I’ve also recently added the 72-hour Emergency Food Kit from Patriot Pantry.
The 72-Hour Kit includes:
- Granny’s Homestyle Potato Soup – 4 Servings
- Maple Grove Oatmeal – 8 servings
- Blue Ribbon Creamy Chicken Rice
