Add Some Spice Back Into Your Marriage With This Valentines Day Plan!
Valentine’s Day is slowly creeping up on us bit by bit. For many couples, this is a time to celebrate what you love most about one another. You shower each other with gifts and have an amazing time. But, for some couples, it could be yet another reminder that the spark in your marriage has faded over the years.
That sounds very glum, but it’s just the reality of things these days. When you settle down and have children, life comes at you fast and all romance goes out the window. So, why don’t you inject your marriage with some extra passion this Valentines Day? Below, you’ll find a plan for the perfect day.
Breakfast In Bed
What better way to start the day than by waking up your partner with breakfast in bed. Get up early and make them the favorite breakfast. Or, try a personal favorite of mine; heart-shaped pancakes. It will be a big surprise, and they’ll really appreciate it. A great way to start the day on the right foot!
Dinner In The Evening
After breakfast, you’ll probably end up in the typical morning rush as everyone gets ready for school and work. So, it’s likely you won’t see each other again until the evening. Here, make an effort to do something together and have dinner alone. You could make a romantic meal at home or book a table at a fancy restaurant. Either way, nice food and no children will be the perfect recipe for romance.
After Dinner
Once dinner is over, you should start to unwind and settle down at home. Make sure you find the children a sitter too, preferably some family so they can stay elsewhere tonight. Now, it’s all about the two of you. Head to the bedroom and set a nice romantic mood. If you click here, you’ll see some lovely aroma diffusers that will make your room smell gorgeous and create a lovely atmosphere. Combine this with some mood lighting and everything is perfect. Settle down under the covers and watch a movie or just spend some much needed alone time together.
The Gift
Lastly, I want to talk about the gift. You need to buy your spouse something special on Valentine’s Day, something they’ll love and cherish. Women tend to do a better job of this than the men! As such, I created a post that gave all the men out there some gift ideas for their female partners. You can see this here if you’re interested in that content. You can exchange gifts either in the morning or evening. Personally, I suggest the evening as it’s a nice way to end the day.
Once Valentine’s Day is over, you’ll feel a renewed spark in your marriage. So, keep that fire burning and make an effort to be there for one another as much as you can. Complement each other, do things together – it will feel like you’ve fallen in love all over again! I hope you’ve found my plan useful, feel free to follow it if you want the perfect Valentine’s Day this year.
