Great for Gift Giving!
What busy mom, or any person for that matter, doesn’t need to relax from time to time?
One way I relax is by taking a nice relaxing bath. Sometimes I use bubble bath, bath bombs or essential oils, but I’ve found I’m more relaxed than ever when I use these relaxing bath salts!
First of all, these relaxing detox bath salts are made with Himalayan sea salt, which besides all the amazing benefits, help me to sleep like a baby!
Here are just a few of the benefits of bathing in Himalayan salts
- Himalayan salt helps to draw out toxins, and deeply cleanses the skin.
- Contains many minerals that our bodies need and can be absorbed through the skin, such as calcium, magnesium, zinc, and others.
- Helps ease aches and pains such as sore muscles or stiff joints
- Can help you sleep better
This homemade relaxing bath salt recipe also contains baking soda which helps to exfoliate skin, and the fractionated coconut oil helps to soften skin. I also like to add lavender essential oil which is the go-to for relaxation when it comes to essential oils, but you can add your favorite essential oil, or chose to use none at all.

**While Himalayan bath salts are generally safe to bathe in. You should always consult your doctor first if you have high or low blood pressure or other health-related issues.
Even though this bath salt is super easy to make, the benefits are amazing!
Supplies:
Glass Container/s ( I made one 16 ounce container, but you can also use 2-4 small containers if giving as gifts)
Medium Sized Mixing Bowl
Baking Soda
Lavender Essential Oil (or your favorite essential oil)
Labels (optional) – I made these in several different sizes depending on the type of container you decide to use. I also recommend using cardstock paper or Avery Sticker Project Paper.
Relaxing Detox Bath Salts
Ingredients
- 2 Cups Himalayan Sea Salt
- 1/2 Cup Baking Soda
- 1 tsp Fractionated Coconut Oil
- 10-20 Drops Lavender Essential Oil
Instructions
-
Mix all ingredients together and store in airtight container.
-
To use: Add a small handful to warm bath as the water is running.
Note: The Himalayan sea salt takes awhile to completely dissolve, so you may want to place it where you aren’t laying directly on them. You can also buy finer grain Himalayan salt here that dissolves easier. Also, the fractionated coconut oil can make the tub a little slippery, so be sure to use caution when getting in and out.
