When the weather is simply too hot to be outside or rainy, have a fun movie day! Let the kids each pick out their favorite movie and bring sleeping bags into the living room or make a fort with sheets and blankets. You can also whip up a few snacks such as Birthday Cake Popcorn or Marshmallow Popcorn.
3. Play Dough Fun
No playdough? No problem! You can make your own with just a few household ingredients such as flour, salt, and baking soda. You can even make it in fun scents such as chocolate, lemon or even calming lavender playdough. Using playdough tools or old cookie cutters the kids can have hours of fun!
4. Bake Something
Including kids in cooking or baking is fun, and encourages them to learn about nutrition information, understand and following basic directions, and more. Even kids as young as 2 year s old can help with such things as stirring ingredients. You can find some easy and fun recipes in our Recipe Index
