Crockpot Porcupine Meatballs
These crockpot porcupine meatballs bring back so many great memories. Growing up, my mom would make porcupine meatballs all the time. Although she didn’t use a crockpot and baked hers in the oven, I think this recipe tastes similar to the ones I had growing up.
It’s the perfect comfort food in a yummy tomato-based sauce! I like to serve it over white rice, but they are also great alone too!

Crockpot Porcupine Meatballs
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef (uncooked)
- 1 medium sized egg
- 1 tsp garlic
- 1 small onion (finely diced)
- 1 tsp seasoned salt
- 1 cup rice (uncooked)
- 1 cup water
- 2 (15 oz) can tomato sauce
- 1 (6 oz) can tomato paste
- 1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
- cooked rice (to serve over)
Instructions

In a medium-sized bowl, combine ground beef, egg, garlic, onion, seasoned salt, and rice.

Use hands to combine the mixture and shape into balls. (should make approximately 16-20 then place in the bottom of the crockpot.

In another medium-sized bowl mix water, tomato sauce, tomato paste, and Worcestershire sauce.

Pour the tomato sauce based mixture over the meatballs and cook on low 6-7 Hours

Serve over white/brown rice
