Carrying lunch from home to school has come a long way from back when I was in school. Although, I did love the little Debbie brownie my mom always packed in my lunch! Nowadays, lunches can be both fun and nutritious and without a lot of prep.

1. Give your Child Choices
Have your child participate in picking out items and planning what they would like to take. Even younger kids can make choices such as choosing between a banana or apple.
2.Think beyond the typical sandwich
Kids love food on skewers. You can make meet and cheese skewers with vegetables, or even put their favorite fruit on skewers.
If your child loves PB & J, you can also switch it up a little by adding an organic almond spread like Amore Almond Spread with Milk Chocolate. (find here)
You can also use cookie cutters to cut meat and cheese into fun shapes.
3. Bento Boxes
Bento boxes keep food in nice proportions and are also a great way to offer a variety of healthy options.
4. Offer Healthy Dips
Most kids love to use a p for their food. You can include hummus dip for vegetables and organic hazelnut spread for dipping delicious bananas, apples or grapes.
5. Include a Note or Other Special Touch
Kids, especially in elementary school, love getting lunchbox notes. If your child is a little older they may still like a note of encouragement.
