The Optimal Cartridge Choice for HP Printer
When it comes to choosing the best ink cartridge for your HP printer then you would be forgiven for believing that a genuine replacement is the best choice. However, with modern technologies and new independent ink specialists popping up, we took the time to check out which is the best type to choose.
When assessing the different products we looked at their cost, effectiveness, ease of purchase and delivery. Take a moment to look at what we found and then use this information to get your hands on the best ink on the market.
Cost
When it comes to cost, we found that replacement ink was far cheaper that its genuine ink counterpart. However, the prices for the replacement ink varied significantly with some really cheap ink cartridge option that were poor quality and other, low cost options that were extremely high quality.
The genuine ink was at the total other end of the spectrum with prices ranging from vastly overpriced to just awfully expensive options. It seems that ink that is bought in local stores tends to have the highest mark-up, meaning that the majority of ink being sold is hugely overpriced.
Effectiveness
One of the most important factors in ink purchasing is whether the ink you buy is effective. Genuine ink is often sold as the best type of ink to buy but our insight showed us that while the ink was effective at printing, the cartridges were half full unless they were an XL cartridge.
Replacement ink fared better in this area as, once we found good quality ink, we could print for longer with outstanding results. Our favourite company was Smart Ink purely because they offered the best ink at great prices and took huge care over giving outstanding service.
Ease of Purchase
Genuine ink cartridges are in every store you can imagine and so getting hold of ink is really simple. However, to benefit from this simple purchasing power, you should expect to be charged well over the odds.
Replacement ink may not be as easy to get in the stores but we found that good quality ink suppliers offer great postage speeds and this means you can get your ink delivered to your door without having to take any time out to go to the shops; it is the perfect solution.
Delivery
Both types of printer ink can be purchased online and delivered to your house but interestingly, the majority of genuine ink sellers make you pay for postage and packing whereas replacement ink companies tend to offer free or low cost postage options, making it cheaper to buy.
The Result
We are shocked to say that replacement ink from ink specialist companies blew us away and beat genuine ink in every single category. Never before had we really believed that replacement ink could do a better job that genuine ink but now, we know it can, we will be saving out cash in the future and opting for cheaper replacement ink every single time.
