Mexican Cornbread

delicious cheddar cheese, jalapeno, and corn filled cornbread.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups self rising cornmeal
  • 1 can cream style corn
  • 1 cup grated cheddar cheese
  • 3 jalapeno's (finely chopped)
  • 1/2 cup cooking oil
  • dash of salt
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees

  2. In a medium sized bowl mix together all the ingredients.

  3. Pour into a cast iron skillet and bake at 425 degrees for 30-45 minutes
