If you’re like me, then you love to shop! However, I hate spending a ton of money and always try to get the best possible deal. The holidays can be a joyous time, however, they can also be quite hard on the pocketbooks!
Here’s a list of 7 easy sites that will help you get the most bang for your buck and save you money this holiday season!
1. Dealspotr
This is one of my absolute favorite websites. Not only can you save money, but you can also earn money! It’s kind of like a social networking site for couponers.
You sign up for free, and then can browse by store or item and see the latest coupon codes, printable coupons or specials.
I’ve found and used many deals from Dealspotr from stores such as Bath and Body Works, and more. I’ve also learned of several restaurant deals on Dealspotr.
Once you join you can also post deals and coupons to share with other members. Each time you post a deal you earn points which can then be turned into gift cards. If you are a blogger you can also turn those points into PayPal cash!
When you first sign up you will receive 5,000 points which equal $5 just by using my referral code here. You can also learn more about how Dealspotr works by reading my post –> Dealspotr: Deal Seekers Social Network Site
*If you are a fellow blogger, you can also join the influenster program and receive $15 PayPal cash when you reach Silver Status when you use my code:
Dealspotr is a great way to find the best deals and make money while doing it! It truly is one of my favorite sites.
2. Ebates
Ebates is another one of my favorites that I have been using for years. What I really like about Ebates is it’s almost effortless to use. You simply sign up and do your shopping through ebates.com You can shop from all of your favorite stores and earn cash back.
You even receive $10 just for signing up and can receive up to $75 for every 3 referrals you make!
Since the items are items you would buy anyway, you are simply getting extra cash back which they issue in the form of a check or by PayPal every 3 months as long as you are over the threshold of $5.
They also have a handy toolbar you can install, that will remind you if that store offers cashback while you’re shopping online.
Since Ebates is a rebate site, you can still use coupons such as the ones you find on Dealspotr or other sites to save money AND get cash back.
Ebates is now also offering cashback for many in-store purchases at stores such as Macy’s, Old Navy, Gap, American Eagle and more!
You can read my post on How to Use Ebates for more info.
3. Groupon
I’ve found some great deals on Groupon not only for myself but also gift items. Before I purchase a service I always check Groupon first. You can usually find half off massages, hotel rooms, restaurants and more which are also great to give as gifts.
You can also find many items such as jewelry, clothing, scarfs and other items cheaper than you can get at many stores.
You can check the Groupon Center right here on the blog that lists the most recent and popular deals!
4. coupons.com
While not necessarily for gifts, coupons.com allows you to print money-saving coupons right at home. I tried once to clip coupons from the newspapers and clip printable ones online and coupon stack. I found in the end, that it took me too much time, and you need to be super organized…which I am not.
However, if I’m going to the store and have a huge list I normally check coupons.com to see if there are a few coupons I can use. Especially during the holidays when I’m doing lots of baking and buying more paper products.
You can also see the latest coupons here on the blog in the Coupon Center.
5. Priceblink
Priceblink is a free add-on toolbar extension that automatically finds you the lowest price. So say, you are looking for a Dyson vacuum cleaner, you can type that in and it will give you a list of stores with the current pricing. You can use it for anything from apparel to tools to toys!
6. ibotta
ibotta is an app and site I just recently joined a few months ago after learning about it from a friend.
Here’s how to use ibotta
1. Download the App
You first need to download the ibotta app here.
2.Unlock Rebates
Before you go shopping, unlock cash rewards on great products by completing simple tasks.
3. Go Shopping
Buy the products you’ve unlocked at any supported store.
4. Verify Your Purchases
Scan your product barcodes, then submit a photo of your receipt.
5. Get Cash
You’ll have the cash deposited into your Ibotta account within 48 hours.
*You will also receive $10 just for joining redeeming your first rebate!
7. Walmart Savings Catcher
Walmart Savings Catcher is one I’ve been using for years and was shocked to learn some people still didn’t know about. It’s super easy to use, and a way to comparison shop and get the best deals, without actually doing much work.
You can submit your Walmart receipt in one of two ways, enter the receipt number by going to savingscatcher.walmart.com or by scanning your receipt using the Walmart Android or iPhone app.
Savings catcher then compares the items on your receipt to other advertised prices from local retailers in your area.
If savings catcher finds a lower price, you can then get the difference of the amount back, which then can be redeemed for a Walmart Gift Card or loaded onto an American Express Bluebird card.
Another great way to save money, if you do a lot of shopping online is to buy an Amazon Prime Membership. You can receive fast FREE 2-day shipping on over 50 million items plus your membership includes free video streaming and over 2 million songs, and more.
Prime Membership is only $10.99 a month and can save you a ton on shipping cost over time, not to mention the extra benefits like video streaming, unlimited photo storage and more. You can also gift a prime subscription, which makes a great gift for just about anyone on your list.
If you are a first-time subscriber you can sign up for a free 30-day trial below!
