Crockpot Beef Stew

Old-Fashioned beef stew made in the crockpot

Ingredients

  • 1.5 lb stew meat (cut into bite sized pieces)
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 1 package (1 oz) Au Jus
  • 1/2 small onion chopped
  • 1 clove garlic (minced) or can use 1 tbs refrigerated pre minced garlic
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 1/2 cups beef broth
  • 4 potatoes,diced
  • 5 carrots, diced
  • 2 celery stalks, chopped

Instructions

  1. Place meat in crockpot. In a small bowl mix together flour, salt and pepper. Pour Au jus packet directly on meat and pour the flour mixture on top. Stir to coat.

  2. Stir in the onion, garlic, Worcestershire,, beef broth, potatoes, carrots, and celery.

  3. Cover and cook on LOW 6 to 8 hours.
