Mississippi Green Beans

Sweet, tangy, and savory green beans.

Ingredients

  • 6 cans (14.5 oz. each) green beans (drained)
  • 3/4 cup butter
  • 1 Tbsp cooking oil ( I use olive oil)
  • 8 slices bacon (chopped into small pieces)
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 3 Tbsp soy sauce

Instructions

  1. Add drained green beans to crockpot.

  2. In a small saucepan over medium heat melt butter, cooking oil, and cook bacon just until crisp.

  3. Add brown sugar and soy sauce and stir until thoroughly melted.

  4. Pour mixture over green beans and cook on LOW for 6-7 hours or HIGH for 4-5 hours.
