  • 5-7 Tin Cans of various sizes (rinsed and cleaned)
  • acrylic paint
  • twine or roap
  • sturdy branch or something to hand the windchimes on
  • nail and screw or drill
  • packing or masking tape

Instructions

  1. Start by putting tape around the top rim of the cans to prevent any accidental cuts.

  2. Lay down newspaper or a drop cloth and paint the cans with various colors and allow the paint to fully dry.

  3. Using a nail and a hammer turn the bottom of the can over and punch a small hole or use a drill.

  4. Pull the twine or rope starting at the top of the can and tie a knot on the inside to secure. Do this to each individual can.

  5. Tie the cans in various links to a sturdy branch and wrap another piece of the twine around the branch to use as a hanger. Hang on a hook or outdoor tree branch.
