Dandelion Salve

Homemade dandelion salve for sore muscles and dry skin.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup dandelion oil
  • 1/4 cup coconut oil
  • 2 TBSP beeswax pellets
  • 10-20 drops essential oil (optional) I used lemongrass

Instructions

  1. Place the beeswax pellets and coconut oil in a glass jar. Place the glass jar in a pan on the stove with several inches of water in it. Sit the glass jar in the center of the pan and heat on low/medium.

  2. Once the beeswax and coconut oil is melted, carefully add in the dandelion oil.

  3. Add in essential oils (if using) and mix the ingredients

  4. Carefully remove the jar from the pan using oven mitts and pour the mixture into containers and let harden 1-2 hours.

  5. Optional: print and place labels on your containers.

  6. To Use; Rub on sore muscles or joints. Also makes a great hand salve or to use on dry elbows, knees or feet.
