How To Cook Jasmine Rice
Jasmine rice is a lot softer than other long grain rice and Jasmine Rice has a very attractive flavor when cooking. With a slightly stickier texture makes it perfect for serving with sauce-heavy dishes as they will cling to the grains. It’s also one of the easiest varieties of rice to cook. Ingredients
- jasmine rice – 2 cup
- water – 3 cup
- salt – to taste
Instructions – How To Cook Jasmine Rice
Step 1.
Bring the water to a boil in a saucepan,
Step 2.
Rinse the rice in a fine-mesh strainer.
Step3.
Add rice and a generous of salt into boiling water. Then Stir and turn on low heat, cover and cook for 25 minutes. After 25 minutes, Check rice if it is still too firm, add a few more tablespoons of water and continue to turn on low heat. If all water is gone and the rice has softened, continue with the next step.
Step 4.
Remove the rice from the heat, leave it covered, and let it sit for about 10 – 15 minutes. The residual heat inside the pot will steam the rice and any remaining water will be absorbed. This makes your rice well done and tastes good
Step 5.
Transfer the rice to a serving bowl. Enjoy your rice with your favorite dishes.
Note:
Jasmine rice DOES NOT need to be soaked before cooking, you only need to rinse it a few times. Soaking it first will only make it soggy.
